The exhibition turned out to be an 86 piece show
with my latest body of work including
oil on canvas,
charcoal on paper,
and 3 brand new gorgeous sculptures.

The show was quite a success as many pieces were sold,
and people are still inquiring.

wow… i just discovered this article being online on 13 minutes magazine… 13 minutes magazine is an asian american culture fashion magazine… earlier this year i did an interview for them but they never informed me when the article was to be printed… surprised to find it online…lol

the magazine print quality is great, so  can’t wait to see it…

I have been working hard on my debut art book.

After the long hours, weeks, months, years,
blood, sweat and tears, it is finally published!

“The Daily New(d)s“

is a compilation of 366 daily self-portrait drawings on newspaper dated
from my 31st birthday on November 2, 2007 to November 2, 2008.

Here’s an excerpt from the back cover text:

“I clearly remember the first time I made a self-portrait of myself.
It was at home in Southern California on a warm
Sunday afternoon when I was fifteen years old. I recall feeling
a little puzzled and disturbed when I was looking at myself in the drawing.
For some reason the portrait conveyed a side of me that I hadn’t seen.
What I was looking at was the ‘real Me’.
The ‘Me’ stripped of all pretense.”

My creativity is at a peak at the moment
and recently I started making bronze sculptures!
Today I would like to share the first three
that just got back from the foundry.
They were cast using the lost-wax technique.

Tonight I look out the window of my Berlin apartment and see a full moon hazing amongst many tall apartment buildings. Through the freshly washed windows, the moon shines bright and smiles.
